Nineteen years ago, we opened the doors to Diamonds Rock with something of an advantage: we already knew
how to make jewelry.
Our family had spent decades in jewelry manufacturing, designing and creating pieces for jewelry stores across the
country. We wanted to take that experience beyond manufacturing and bring it directly to the customer.
So, we found the perfect spot in Kenwood—one where we could open our first retail store while keeping our
manufacturing right on site.
Diamonds Rock was born.
Building More Than a Jewelry Store
In September 2008, fresh out of The Ohio State University, Jessica joined the family business and went straight
into custom design. At the time, CAD/CAM was cutting-edge technology in the jewelry world, and we saw an
opportunity to embrace it, perfect it and introduce custom design to a new generation of customers.
Over time, Jessica’s role grew from custom design into managing and operating the retail store—and the store
itself continued to evolve, too.
We knew jewelry. What we had to figure out was the Diamonds Rock experience.
We wanted to create a jewelry store where people actually felt comfortable. So we paid attention to everything—the
lighting, the music, the smell, the artwork, even our mini pub.
Because buying jewelry shouldn’t feel intimidating. Whether you’re choosing an engagement ring, redesigning an
heirloom, dropping off a repair or buying something simply because you can, we want you to feel at home when
you walk through our doors.
Finding Our Home in Montgomery
After years in Kenwood, we were ready to create something that was truly ours.
We found that opportunity in Montgomery—and this move meant more to our family than simply owning a building.
Jessica and our family were born and raised in this community. Seeing our own freestanding store here,
surrounded by neighbors who have welcomed and supported us, is something we’re incredibly proud of.
And while our location has changed, our manufacturing roots haven’t.
When we say we make jewelry, we mean it.
We continue to design and manufacture jewelry for stores across the country, while our custom pieces here in
Montgomery are created in-house—from CAD design and raw casting all the way through to the finished piece.
It’s a part of Diamonds Rock that makes us different, and it’s still at the heart of what we do 19 years later.
But the Best Part Has Been You
Over 19 years, we’ve had the privilege of being part of a lot of life’s moments.
Engagements. Weddings. Anniversaries. Birthdays. First diamonds. Heirloom redesigns. And plenty of “I saw it and
had to have it” moments, too.
But one of our favorite things is seeing longtime customers now bring their children through our doors.
We’re helping the next generation choose engagement rings, shop for gifts for their spouses, pick out first diamond
studs and celebrate milestones of their own.
For a family business, there really isn’t a greater compliment.
