Having a general budget or range in mind is helpful because it gives us a place to start. It doesn’t have to be set in stone, and it certainly isn’t something you need to justify.

Your budget should reflect you—your priorities, what you love, and what you’re comfortable spending.

We work with a wide range of budgets, and we approach them all the same way: how can we give you the best possible ring and experience within the parameters you’ve given us?

You may find exactly what you want for less than you expected. You may see something you love and decide you’re comfortable spending more. Either is fine. Our role is to give you the information and options to make that decision confidently.

What Does the Average Engagement Ring Cost?

It’s natural to want a point of reference.

According to The Knot’s 2026 Real Weddings Study, couples married in 2025 spent an average of approximately $4,600 on an engagement ring. The same study found that 61% of engagement rings had a lab-grown center stone.

But an average is simply that—a reference point.

It doesn’t tell us what your ring should cost.

Diamond type, size, quality, setting, craftsmanship and customization can all affect the price. Today’s options—particularly the choice between natural and lab-grown diamonds—also mean there is more flexibility than ever when creating a ring around a particular budget.

You’re Comparing More Than Price

Shopping for an engagement ring isn’t always an apples-to-apples comparison.

Two rings may look similar at first glance but differ considerably in diamond quality, craftsmanship, construction and long-term service. That’s why price is only one part of the decision.

You should also feel comfortable with the jeweler you choose. Are your questions being answered? Do you understand what you’re buying? Are you being shown options rather than pushed toward one? And will that jeweler be there to take care of your ring after the purchase?

Our manufacturing shop and jewelers are located in the same building as our Cincinnati showroom. We’re able to care for the pieces we sell right here rather than sending your ring away.

Manufacturing defects are covered during the first year, and after that, our clients receive 50% off maintenance and wear-and-tear repairs for the life of the piece.

There is no salary formula, required minimum or magic number that makes an engagement ring more meaningful.
